📝 Scholarship Essay (250 Words)
Prepare an essay on ONE of the following topics. Word count does not include spaces or punctuation. Save as a PDF or Word doc:
Topic 1: Cultural Identity
This year marks the 100th Anniversary of Black History (founded by the Association of the Study of African American Life and History). How does Black culture or your heritage affect your goals and interactions with society?
Topic 2: Community Service
Describe a time you volunteered or led a project in your community. What did you learn about yourself through this service?
Topic 3: Academic Passion
How will your intended major or field of study allow you to give back to the African American community in the future?
📜 Academic Records & Recommendations
- Official High School Transcript: Must verify your current cumulative GPA.
- 2 Letters of Recommendation: From teachers, counselors, or mentors. Must be on official letterhead with an original signature.
- College Acceptance Letter: If available, your acceptance letter to an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution.
